Students in Mr. Hintz's chemistry class are learning how to identify unknown chemicals by seeing what color they burn. The students were given a number of known chemicals and two unknown chemicals. Students compared the flames each chemical produced to identify the mystery substances.
The oooohs and aaaahs coming from the students were evidence that they enjoyed the hands-on project.
