- Manage your time and talents wisely. There are many great opportunities available at Villa. The inclusive athletic and club policy allows students to try many things, but it’s important not to overextend yourself. Use your planner to map out your academic, sports, and extracurricular obligations to help you stay on track and to keep from planning too much.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you are struggling with an assignment, talk to your teacher to get some extra guidance. It’s important to get help right away so that you do not get overwhelmed and fall behind.
- Speak with your counselors often. We are available to help you make the most of your school schedule and your college and career planning. We are also available to discuss social/emotional issues.
- Your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health should be a top priority. Make time for self-care.
- Engage with Villa teachers, peers, and campus life. Remember your net worth is attached to your network. We need friends for our overall well-being. We need our teachers to help us grow academically and spiritually. Build a strong community around yourself.
It is my hope and prayer that each of you has a successful school year. Remember you matter and you belong here!
